Aluminum Turn Prevent Mechanical Lugs – One Conductor
Our collection of aluminum turn prevent mechanical lugs for one conductor includes heavy-duty set screw connectors engineered to provide secure, dependable electrical terminations while minimizing connector movement during installation. Each lug features an integrated turn-prevent design on the underside of the mounting tang, helping keep the connector properly aligned as the set screw is tightened.
These mechanical lugs are commonly used in panelboards, switchgear, transformers, disconnect switches, electrical enclosures, grounding systems, and power distribution equipment. Their one-hole mounting design makes them suitable for a wide variety of commercial, industrial, utility, and institutional electrical installations.
Turn Prevent Design for Easier Installation
Unlike standard mechanical lugs, turn prevent lugs incorporate a small locating feature beneath the mounting tang that helps resist connector rotation during installation. This design allows electricians to tighten the set screw more easily while maintaining proper lug alignment, especially in confined electrical enclosures.
Dual-Rated for Copper and Aluminum Conductors
Many aluminum turn prevent lugs are AL9CU dual-rated, making them suitable for terminating both copper and aluminum conductors when installed according to the manufacturer's specifications. Manufactured from high-strength aluminum alloy and finished with electro tin plating, these connectors provide excellent conductivity while helping resist corrosion and reduce contact resistance.
Professional Electrical Applications
These one-conductor mechanical lugs are available in a variety of conductor ranges and are commonly specified for service equipment, feeder circuits, distribution panels, switchboards, industrial controls, and OEM electrical equipment. Their compact design and dependable mechanical connection make them an excellent choice for both new installations and equipment maintenance.
